Wuz up E'rbody? Bikertrash here -- How 'bout Gone in 60 Seconds (the newer one is cool, but what 'bout the original from 1974) produced, written and acted by the late great Halicki. They had some of the best chase scenes (one lasting about 40 minutes and about 93 cars destroyed).

Da Blues Brothers or maybe Used Cars, Smokey and the bandet. I have an Idea. What if I set up a big screen at the shop on Tuesday nite and we call it a drive in. What movie should we play?

is Bullitt. Betcha I've seen that movie 50 times. Like the t bucket/roadster race in The Lively Set (and the nice seat covers). Couple of good drag racing movies are Funny Car Summer and American Nitro.

The old guy likes Two Lane Blacktop, two young gonna be stars cross the country in a 55 Chevy with big block and rock crusher Muncie racing for money to buy gas.

Macon County Line is another Oldie but a goodie.

Does anyone remember "Hotrods from Hell" ? Made in the late '50s it is kinda cheeze to todays standards but it did feature a few well known cars i.e. ala-kart

I would like to add The California Kid with Martin Sheen, Vic Morrow, Nick Nolte and Michelle Phillips of the Mamas and the Papas. The two actors that were in Two Lane Blacktop that Joe Cool referred to were singer James Taylor and Dennis Wilson of the Beach Boys. Another old movie that had a t-bucket in it was called Choppers if my memory is correct about a gang that chopped up cars for parts. I have a copy of this old movie around somewhere I will need to watch it again.

Yeah, with Dana Andrews, buys a motel in some small town out in Arizonia because of his health and is terrorized by Hot Rod punks. BTW Dana Andrews brother used to be Principal of Bellaire High School. Bellaire is a little city surrounded by Houston and has some badass cops. You don't screw around in Bellaire.

Other than the ones mentioned in previous post, how about

Vanishing Point

Hot Rod Girl
The Wild Ride
The Devil on Wheels

The last three were black and white, from the 60's.

I have a copy of The Choppers, there is a fantastic period correct T-bucket featured in the
movie, with a 6 -2barrel carbs sitting on top of a nail head mill, wide white drag slicks,
plain wheels, white r and p interior and a huge gear shift.cool movie

I've read through all of them and I don't think anyone has mentioned "Christine". That's one of my favorites along with American Graffitti, Smokey and the Bandit, etc...
